The subject of this photograph is my grandfather's violin,
one of my most precious and oldest possessions
that I hold very close to my heart.
This violin was handmade by my grandfather's
older brother Jan Visser, who was an architect,
but had a passion for building violins.
It comes in the original crocodile-skin case.
My grandfather must have loved this instrument!
